Challenge Results

Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday! Finally done with my 30 day drawing challenge, I’m excited to show y’all the results.

I will admit, I didn’t draw everyday but I definitely did every chance I got. On days I wouldn’t have my sketchbook and pencils, I would sketch on the backs on loose paper and on days I didn’t have much time to draw, I made sure to at least doodle here and there. Overall, these past 30 days reignited in me a love for drawing as well as learning!

I found that once you figure out where to start in terms of learning, it becomes much easier to level up. These last 30 days, I also discovered the joy of progress. Many times, after successfully learning a new technique or making something I thought actually looked acceptable, I felt a rush of satisfaction and energy which made me want to only draw more.

I’ve learned a lot about art, and learned how much more there is to learn about art and I’m especially excited to continue on this journey and get even better.

Now to the results. Above is the drawing I made today, and then the one I drew at the beginning of the 30 days. Over the course of this month, I worked on my lines, shapes, gesture drawing, perspective, and I did a very basic art study on the torso. I believe that the art piece I drew incorporated bits and pieces of all I’ve worked on this month and I could really see the improvement. I definitely see ways I could improve the piece, and plan to work on those things moving forward, but overall, I am super proud of what I managed to accomplish in just 30 days.

But yeah, that’s the end of the challenge. It was super fun and I had a great time learning and drawing and I plan on continuing to practice and get even better. Let me know if you’re interested in how I practiced or the resources I used to practice and get my information from. I hope you have a wonderful day and are also putting in the work for whatever goals you’ve set for yourself. I love you all, until next time.
